MEET YOUR TEACHERS
Tzeeva Greenberger, one of our Inner Child teachers. Starting as a kindergarten teacher, Tzeeva has always had a passion to help people see their beauty and light. Following a very serious health scare, Tzeeva climbed into her journey.  Through intense growth, perseverance, and healing, Tzeeva found Inner Child work to be lifesaving on many different levels and knew that spreading Inner Child healing to the world was her true calling. Tzeeva, a Certified Transformational Coach, deepened her knowledge working with trauma specialists and several intensive trainings and workshops including specific Inner Child training by Miriam Adhan.  Tzeeva is also trained in the Pia Melody method. Inner Child work is very sensitive, deep work, and it is the most beautiful tender work there is.  In her practice, and teaching, Tzeeva’s kind and gentle nature enable her to be that safe and trusted person every child, and adult can turn to. She helps create a safe place where women can find freedom, strength, and healing.  A place where they are encouraged to embrace all of themselves and enabled to become who they truly want to be.
Rivka Malka Perlman, School Founder. Following a near death experience, I’m on a mission to help every woman discover G-d’s unconditional love for her. (Including myself!) My work as a Transformation Coach was born out of my own transformation – a time when I literally needed to decompose and become something new. Through this pain I received gifts that I always wanted but always felt short of: Emunah, self love, boundaries, deep, meaningful healthy friendships, forgiveness and a wellspring of joy. I believe in Life and I believe in you. I believe that every single thing that happens to us is a loving message from Hashem calling us back to ourselves and to Him. I believe that each of us has a message that we carry to the world just by being who we are and that how we spread that message is less important than how we live it. I believe that the work of our personal healing lights up the world. I believe that change is possible. I call it Redemption – and I want it for every single person I meet.
Rachel Tate Welfeld, one of our Inner Child teachers. Rachel Welfeld was thrust into a lifetime of healing when she responded to a vital need and opened up a Jewish high school for girls at risk. Faced with students who had experienced trauma, abuse, and suicidal ideation, Rachel was guided to learn everything she could about true recovery. Now, as a trained Coach and Hypnotherapist, Rachel is also a leading expert in Silent Listening, and Intuitive Response. This unique modality focuses on the breath, stillness, and the sensations of memories as they live in the body. Inner child work can also be called Wound Healing.  Rachel is a fierce protector of children and of the inner children that live within us. She helps to create a space where the wounds can heal with gentleness and love by bringing those inner experiences safety, compassion, and a relationship with Hashem.

Business magazines say that Life Coaching is the number one most lucrative upcoming profession in the next five years.  But is life coaching really enough?  Can we support people without understanding the wounds or beliefs that lay beneath their actions?  Can we  people to move forward in their lives without guiding them look to a spiritual source? Can we take someone to brave new territory without having gone there ourselves?  TLC, Transformation Life Coaching maintains that it is possible to train coaches way above and beyond traditional life coaching practices so that their clients will experience profound and deep shifts that will impact every area of their lives.  Our goal is to expand the consciousness of our students, to offer them a rich, diverse toolbox and a new set of eyes with which to see themselves and the people they work with. With Rivka Malka and a staff of expert teachers, The School of Coaching and Transformation  brings together ALL these modalities and more. 1) Life Coaching. Skills and techniques focused on helping people get clarity and results so that they can live with choices instead of feeling stuck.  2) Inner Work. Bringing awareness and healing to one’s past and opening new doorways for a beautiful present.  3) Somatic Work. Addressing the body and the energy patterns that are stored within it that bring about subconscious reactions. 4) Emunah Coaching. Spiritual frameworks that encourage a client to look to prayer and to Hashem for the answers they seek. 5) Restorative Healing. Structures, accountability and goals to help a client craft the life they desire to create.  Plus a  mixed media tool box of art, music and writing exercises that expand each session for maximum impact.  Most importantly, all of our teachings are firmly rooted in Torah sources. The growth and empowerment that we bring to our students and clients is designed to bring them closer to Hashem and to their tafkid, their purpose.  We combine Torah-true values with classic and modern coaching tools to create a truly transformational experience. Years ago I received classic Life Coaching training at a premiere coach training school. I began my practice equipped with tools and an education that was invaluable and solid. At that time I was receiving healing work from an outside practitioner and I noticed that the more work I received the better my coaching became. I began to reach people in ways I never thought possible. I began to witness them undergoing transformation that was way beyond what I was offering them. I was amazed at their growth. What was going on? I began to get hungry: Hungry for knowledge. Hungry to understand; What is healing? What is transformation? What is this gift that I am receiving and how I can best offer it to another person? The Almighty who blessed me with this curiosity also blessed me answers. In a series of events that I can only call A Shower of Gifts I began to encounter more and more modes of healing: Somatic Work, Inner Child Work, Compassionate Holding, Integrated Transcendence, and more. At that same time, in my own growth process I was deepening my Emunah ( faith), working on forgiveness and solidifying my knowledge that only Hashem is the one, true healer. In my practice, I  would sometimes use the classic  tools I’d been taught in school yet more and more I was drawing on the new and deeper methods that had become available to me. I was led to teachers. Slowly, my approach changed. How I saw people changed. How I saw coaching changed. The old way frustrated me and the new way left me in wonder. During this time I began to run Redemption Retreats. The extended length of these retreats and the diversity of my staff allowed us to use all of the modalities at once. The results were amazing. Every Retreat was a three day song of growth. At the heart of it all, however it was the unconditionally accepting atmosphere and the space of Emunah that was the magic. The code was cracked. Coaching was not enough. Holy, transformational connection was the key. Following the Retreat, many participants experienced powerful growth, both through the Retreat work and through their follow up coaching. They were on fire. They became ready to help others. It was time to open The School of Coaching and Transformation

This is not only a School for Coaching. It is a School for Life. A look at other approaches: 1) Life Coaching is focused on helping people get clarity and results so that they can live with choices instead of being stuck in corners. 2) Healing Work concentrates on one’s past trauma and the ways in which that trauma is still alive within them and needs release. 3) Somatic Work addresses the body and the stress patterns that are stored within it that bring about unconscious, unwanted reactions. 4) Spiritual Coaching encourages a client to look toward their soul and toward G-d for the answers they seek. The Redemption School brings together ALL these modalities and more. Our goal is to expand the consciousness of our students, to offer them a rich, diverse toolbox and a new set of eyes with which to see themselves and the people they work with. There are many schools that can you train you to coach. We want to offer you more than that. We are not just interested in training coaches. We are interested in building people, nurturing leadership and teaching compassionate healing. We support our students way beyond their technical skill set to access their fullest strengths; to heal and be healed and to be confident in their work. Most importantly, all of our teachings are firmly rooted in Torah sources. The healing and empowerment that we bring to our students and clients are designed to bring them closer to soul awareness and to G-d. We combine Torah- true values with classic and modern coaching tools to create a truly transformational experience. All coaches who go through the certificate program are eligible to join the Redemption Coaching Team and may be offered clients through rivkamalka.com

Haskamos / Letters of Approbation
It is an honor for me to pen these words of Haskama to Rebbetzin Perlman’s unique school where people learn how to reach inner joy and satisfaction in their Yiddishkeit. Having grown up in a home full of Torah, yiras Shamayim, chessed and shimush Talmidei Chachamim, she has founded The Rivka Malka School of Coaching and Transformation on her own Torah experience. The school and its hashkafos are steeped in the holy words of Torah, Chazal and Tzaddikim throughout the generations, in both nigleh and nister. Rebbetzin Perlman has spent her life doing unbelievable chessed, teaching and bringing out the potential in everyone she meets. She has a positive and long lasting uplifting influence on all the women she meets. Her program brings women closer to Hashem, the Torah, their families, their friends and their true selves all within the framework of the Torah. May HKB”H be with her to help guide and inspire for many happy healthy years with her wonderful husband. Bibracha Vihakara, Rabbi Juravel, Fallsburg Yeshiva
What are other leaders saying about Rivka Malka?
“We brought Rivka Malka Perlman to South Africa for our Sinai Indaba 2018 event. She is a highly experienced, refined, Torah-true life-coach and healer, who is able to relate to diverse people in the most real and honest way. She is a living example of compassion, understanding and Ahavas Yisroel. Rivka Malka is multi-talented, she has so many diverse gifts to give!” Rebbetzin Gina Goldstein Wife of Chief Rabbi of South Africa, founder of The Shabbos Project
“Rivka Malka is a uniquely talented and holy woman. She has helped women remove the blocks that they often face, that sometimes seep in very subliminally in their lives. By identifying with them in a somatic way, identifying perhaps where they manifest themselves in their lives today, she helps them remove the blocks in a way that is very restorative and very natural. Many women feel very stuck in their lives and they are not sure what they are doing wrong. They internalize a sense of guilt and move away from a sense of self-acceptance. Rivka Malka really helps you find that love and that self-acceptance that Hashem really wants you to have in order for you to be able to fulfill your life’s purpose” Mrs Ruthi Lynn
“Rivka malka has this amazing way of connecting and reconnecting every woman, of all backgrounds, to HaShem. Just being in her presence makes you want to live a more spiritual and elevated life. I have personally benefited tremendously as a participant in one of Rivka Malka’s retreats and I have also worked side by side with Rivka malka in bringing her retreat to other women. She has a precious light that our Jewish world needs to experience very much. ” Eve Levy Founder of Inspired Jewish Women Momentum trip leader
FAQs
Is your school ICF Accredited? Are there any new updates regarding accreditation?
As we enter into Round 6 of coaching school (beginning on Feb. 3, 2022), we are not as of yet ICF accredited. HOWEVER, we are currently in conversation with, and in the process of, applying for ICF accreditation. There is no guarantee that we will be granted accreditation. However, we have created, to the best of our ability and down to the very last detail, this upcoming Round 6 of Coaching School completely based on the ICF requirements for accredited programs. This very Round 6 program will be given to the ICF for the accreditation application. The full application can only be submitted once this Round 6 program is completed and we have graduates from it. Should the ICF grant us with accreditation, then this Round 6 class will retroactively also be considered an ICF accredited program. Meaning, if we become an accredited program (which can only happen once we complete the entire Round 6 of school), the ICF will retroactively consider the entire Round 6 as being accredited even though at the time Round 6 was actually happening it was not accredited yet. This is because the ICF has a rule that once they grant accreditation to a program, they also retroactively apply that accreditation to the most recent round of graduates – which would be this Round 6 of school. Again, we are doing everything possible to become an accredited program, but that is no guarantee that we will actually be granted accreditation.
What level of ICF accreditation are you applying for?
We are applying for the PCC level (Level 2) accreditation. This is a very advanced level which requires more than double the training hours needed for the ACC level (level 1) accreditation. More hours of coaching are also required in level 2 in order to get certification from the ICF (500 hours as of this writing). We still can not guarantee that we will be granted accreditation from the ICF. That being said, if we do become accredited as a PCC (level 2) program, then we will have an add-on application to also become accredited as an ACC (level 1) program. This way, students who go through the PCC (level 2) program will automatically have completed the ACC (level 1) program also. Students can then just finish the ICF’s additional requirements and apply for the ACC (level 1) certification. Once they receive the ACC (level 1) certification, they can continue to work towards their PCC (level 2) certification (which for example, requires many more hours of coaching).
If this Round 6 of Coaching School retroactively gets ICF accreditation, does that mean that I automatically become an ICF certified coach?
When the ICF gives their accreditation to a program, it means that the program covers all of the training, supervision, and testing that the ICF requires for that particular level of training. However, even after completing any accredited program, there are still more requirements from the ICF in order to get your actual certification. We don’t want to list off everything that is required because it is subject to change. However, as of this writing, an example of what would still be needed would be documented coaching hours. Again, only as of this writing, for an ACC level (which will be changing names to Level 1) a minimum of 100 hours (70 paid) of coaching with at least 8 clients following the start of your training are required in order to apply for the ACC. 25 of those 100 hours must be within 24 months of applying for the ACC. Similarly, for a PCC level (soon to be changing names to Level 2) a minimum of 500 hours (440 paid) of coaching with at least 25 clients following the start of your training are required in order to apply for the PCC. 50 of those 500 hours must be within 24 months of applying for the PCC. We advise you to please look at the ICF website https://coachingfederation.org/ to get updated information about their final requirements for applying for their certification.
In the event that the school is not granted with ICF accreditation, can I still become a certified coach?
If the school is not granted ICF accreditation, if you went through and completed the certification track of Round 6, along with any other certification requirements such as having completed 60 coaching hours…, you will still become a certified coach through our own CTLC (Certified Transformation Life Coach) certification.
What are the 2 tracks a student can join for Round 6 of Coaching School?
There are two tracks that a student can join for Round 6 of Coaching School. The first track is the self-development track. The second track is the certification track.  The self-development track is an adventurous and compassionate personal journey of deepening your relationship with yourself, with others, and with G-D. You will be learning the tools for transformation and experiencing their power in real-time and through pre-recorded classes. You will learn about the language of love, holding space, untangling triggers, personal empowerment, authentic voice, and more. Women who have participated in the self-development track have consistently reported massive shifts in their lives and transformations in their relationships. This is a course that is living, thorough, and powerful in its healing. The self-development students will receive the same pre-recorded classes as the certification track and attend the same live Zoom classes. You will participate in coaching and exercises designed to open you up to your personal beauty and strength. Additionally, you will be invited to join in another 20 hours of additional learning, discussions, and exercises in both a group forum and in smaller groups in Zoom breakout rooms. Another important part of the training is the community support that forms amongst the women. As the student body works together to grow their skills, friendships are formed and beautiful openings often occur. All this together makes for a vibrant and supportive, open-hearted learning experience. This is a course for anyone who wants to grow their gifts, their lives, and their relationships. It’s a course for healing and awareness. Rewrite your story. Heal from the past. Discover your life mission. The Certification Track is an exciting, cutting-edge, mixed modality, training in coaching. It is designed to give you the most comprehensive coach training in the shortest amount of time so that you can begin coaching with confidence and clarity as soon as possible. Our school has trained hundreds of coaches from around the world and our student’s feedback consistently is that this is the best program they have ever attended. Their clients as well have reported having life-changing experiences of healing that were previously unavailable to them. Our mission is to produce compassionate, talented, and versatile coaches who are equipped to lead women on a healing journey to their best selves. To that end, we are involved and take interest in every student on a personal level. Our training includes mentorship and supervision as well as one on one sessions with Rivka Malka.  Our belief is that “You can only take a person as high up the mountain as you yourself have gone.” To this end, we challenge our students to courageously coach and get coached, to grow and help others grow, all within the training. Being trained in this experiential way is an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. Our students graduate confident and clear in their coaching abilities ready to take on paying clients or to serve at the business or communal leadership level. We are very proud of our graduates! Another important part of the training is the community support that forms amongst the women. As the student body works together to grow their skills, friendships are formed and beautiful openings often occur. All this together makes for a vibrant and supportive, open-hearted learning experience.  Please Note: Our Coaching School curriculum has been redesigned to fit the requirements of an accredited Level 2 (PCC) ICF program. This means more mentorship, more practice, and more one on one training and feedback. We are very excited about this new development. Although we do not have ICF accreditation and cannot guarantee it, should our application be approved and our school become accredited, the student body of 2022 (Round 6) will retroactively be considered as having trained in an ICF-approved program. Even without this accreditation, our in-house school certification legally allows graduates to set up a coaching practice and to coach in any setting. The additional ICF accreditation is something that we are striving to offer as it lends even greater weight to the profession. See the other FAQs for a detailed breakdown of each track.

One hour will be spent on observed coaching sessions and another hour will be spent on mentor coaching. There will be a choice between joining a group starting at 11:00 AM EST or at 1:30 PM EST.  27 additional hours of Zoom classes. These classes are intended to go more in-depth into certain coaching tools or subjects. These classes will take place over 6 Sundays from 11:00 AM EST to 3:30 PM EST (four and a half hours each).  2-hour Workshop at the end of the first module. This will take place on a Sunday from 12:00 PM EST to 2:00 PM EST. 2-hour Graduation/workshop at the end of the 2nd module. This will take place on a Sunday from 12:00 PM EST to 2:00 PM EST. Each student gets an online “Coaching Accountability Form” to keep track of their coaching. There are various resources that come as part of the course. They include videos, articles, documents and more. These resources are on the course page of the Coaching School. There is a Private WhatsApp group for the certification students to discuss ideas, celebrate victories, ask questions, share and learn more. A final Performance Evaluation will be administered to each graduating student. The final performance evaluation must, at a minimum, contain an actual observation of coaching at least one half-hour to one hour in length. The performance evaluation must be graded at or above the ICF Credential Level 2 (PCC) level. Students will receive written feedback/scoring for their performance evaluation that provides information regarding their performance on each of the ICF Core Competencies. Please read the other FAQs to see what else is needed for either our own CTLC certification or for the ICF certification should our program be granted accreditation from the ICF.

Can I join for just one out of the 2 modules/semesters?
Participants in both the self-development track and the certification track must sign up for both modules of the program. There is no option to sign up for just one module.
What day of the week are the live classes?
There are 2 tracks for this round of Coaching School – the certification track and the self-development track. Some of the live Zoom classes overlap and some are only for the certification track students. Please refer to the other FAQs for the full schedule of each track. The weekly Zoom class that is shared by both tracks is the Tuesday Zoom class. There are 2 times on Tuesday to choose from. Either starting at 1:00 PM EST or at 8:00 PM EST. You can also join for both of those classes if that works out for you.
For the live Zoom classes do you acommodate those living in different time zones?
We created the schedule to accommodate as many time zones as possible. We are in the EST time zone. Anytime we have a live Zoom class on a particular day, we either arranged it that there is a choice between an earlier or later class on that day, or we made it on a Sunday where the same time works for people in different time zones. See the other FAQs for the full schedules of both tracks.
What are the extended, immersive workshops?
At the end of each (approximately) 3 month semester/module, there will be an online Extended Immersive Workshop on Zoom. This workshop is an amazing experience of fun, growth, learning, self-discovery and more. The Extended Immersive Workshops are the culmination and integration of all the growth and learning of each module. In these online workshops, we journey together through a series of powerful personal exercises. It’s a celebration of your transformation! The workshop is 2 hours long and generally starts at 12:00 PM (EST). The workshop is generally on the Sunday after the last online Zoom class of the module. However, sometimes it can be the Sunday before or some other date.
How long is each module/semester?
There are 2 modules/semsters in the full program. Each module is approximately 3 months. Completing both modules takes approximately 6 months.
What if I am already a coach? Will I still benefit?
Yes. This probing training will stretch your skills at whatever level you are at. We have had many therapists and classically trained coaches tell us that despite their previous experience they learned entirely new approaches at the Coaching School. We are proud to say that one of the most common feedback we receive from our students is that out of all the many training programs they attended, this one was the best. Our goal is to continue making it better and better.
What are the sources for your trainings?
Rivka Malka is trained in CoActive coaching through CTI – The coaches Training Institute. In addition, she is trained in Somatic Work, Inner Child Work, and Business Coaching. Our training is experiential. Although we do not always quote text outright, please be advised that everything we teach is deeply rooted deeply in Torah sources. Some of these include The Ramchal, Chovos Halevavos, Meslias Yesharim, Rebbi Nachman, as well as more contemporary sources like the Aish Kodesh, Nesivos Shalom, and the Alai Shor. The skills that we use to integrate these teachings are culled from classic coach training as well as healing work.
Are all students accepted?
The school is for women only, so we do not accept men into the program. We do accept all female students that are 18 years old and above. However, we do reserve the right in certain instances, to not allow for specific potential participants to join the course. For example, if we feel that the course would not be good, healthy, or safe for someone, or we feel that they would not be a good fit with the other students in the course, we exercise our right to not allow that person to join. We also reserve the right to remove any student from a course if they are having a deeply negative impact on the rest of the participants or on the learning environment.
Do I have to listen to all the pre-recorded lessons?
If you are signed up for the certification program, you do have to listen to every pre-recorded class. Being that we are aiming to get ICF accreditation, we are following all of the rules of the ICF. The ICF requires that the school keep track of every student to make sure that all of the pre-recorded classes are watched.  If you are signed up for the self-development track, which is not designed to work toward any certification or diploma, while it is not required that you watch every pre-recorded class, we highly recommend that you do. We want you to have the most incredible journey of growth and learning. The only way to maximize your experience is by watching every pre-recorded class.
What is the difference between the pre-recorded class and the live online Zoom class?
Each course has at least 10 pre-recorded video classes and at least 10 live online Zoom classes. The pre-recorded classes are meant to give you all the information and tools about the subject that is being taught. The live online classes are the followup to the pre-recorded classes. The live online class goes deeper into explaining what you have learned in the pre-recorded class. The live online class will be a lively interactive class including live coaching demonstrations, coaching observation and feedback, different exercises, answering any questions, going deeper into understanding the tools and teachings, challenging ourselves, and lots of self-discovery. There is an additional component that we added to the live Zoom class for this round of Coaching School. The first hour and a half of the class has everyone together. The last hour has certification students coaching each other in small groups or one on one in the Zoom breakout rooms, and the self-development students will have continued learning both in larger and smaller groups.
What are the lesson titles in each course?

What is your attendance policy? Can I miss a class? What if I have to miss a class?
Our attendance policy differs depending upon which track you are signed up for. If you are signed up for the certification track, attendance in every class (in addition to watching every pre-recorded lesson, and completing all of the certification track requirements) is mandatory. This is because in order to receive the ICF certification (should our school become accredited – which we are working on – but no guarantees right now), every student needs to meet the requirements of the ICF. The ICF requires that we track the attendance of the students and that everyone completes their required hours of synchronous learning and asynchronous learning. Synchronous learning is learning that is done in real-time together with the instructors. Asynchronous learning is learning that is not done in real-time with the instructors such as homework, reading, research, practice coaching.  In an emergency situation, if you do have to miss a class, we require that you contact the school to let us know via email @ theredemptionschool@gmail.com. The recording of the Zoom class that was missed must be watched and you must let the staff know that you completed watching it. Of course, this is for emergency situations only and there is a limit to the amount of leeway we have.  If you are signed up for the self-development track, which is not designed to work toward any certification or diploma, while it is not absolutely required that you attend every class, we highly recommend that you do. We want you to have the most incredible journey of growth and learning. The only way to maximize your experience is by attending every class. We sincerely hope you do!
Do I need to be Jewish to attend The Coaching School?
We welcome women of all faiths in our school. We stand deeply in the simple truth that we are all children of one G-d.
There is a choice as to which time on Tuesday you want to join for the Zoom class. Can I attend both Zoom classes on Tuesdays if that works for my schedule?
If you are in the self-development track, you can join for one or both of the afternoon and evening classes. If you are in the certification track, you will be asked to choose which time slot you want to attend, either afternoon or evening. Attendance is taken so that we can ensure that you are completing your requisite training hours. If you want to attend either the afternoon or nighttime class as well, beyond your committed time slot, you are more than welcome!
What should I know about the intensity and the personal growth that happens in The Coaching School?
There is a difference between the 2 tracks of Coaching school – Certification or Self-development. For the self-development track, the first thing you should know is that the amount of self-growth and discovery, along with the amount that you want to share of yourself is completely up to you and what you are comfortable with. There is no pressure to do anything at all. That being said, there are a tremendous amount of opportunities to share, be vulnerable, step out of your comfort zone and grow. The opportunities come up in many ways. The pre-recorded classes themselves can bring up thoughts about your own life and ideas about how you can apply what you’re learning to your own life. The live Zoom classes generally have real coaching sessions that can be very emotional. They have real people sharing real struggles and can bring up many feelings and emotions for you. This is true whether you choose to be the one who gets coached or you are just watching it. The Coaching School is built on the premise that you as a coach (or just a friend or relative helping someone in a non-professional setting) can only help a person go as far as you have gone. Only as far as you are willing to be daring and bold. Only as far as you have challenged yourself and stepped out of your box and comfort zone. Only as far as you are willing to look at your own life. The training, if you are open to it, is about experiencing yourself what you will be encountering with others who come to you for help. The more you can heal yourself, the more you can assist others in healing themselves. So yes, a lot can come up. But again, you have 100% control at all times of how far you want to go with it. We can not describe enough how much growth goes on in the school. Students find that their entire life changes for the better. Their relationships. Their marriages. Their self-worth. Their confidence. Their happiness. Their relationship with G-D. It is truly amazing to see. If you join and are open to growing, you are in for a wonderful journey. Please take a look at some of the testimonials. If you are in the certification track, being that you will be paired with people to coach and get coached and being that there will be observed coaching sessions and mentor coaching, you really are signing up to coach and be coached. Of course, in order to create a safe and healthy environment, we would not want anyone sharing or exposing themselves too early or too much. It’s all about balance and timing. The students and the staff will monitor this at all times. That being said, we do encourage you, in a healthy way, to challenge yourself to step out of your box and comfort zone. The level of growth, both in your own self-development and in being a better coach, is so much more powerful if you can take the leap and step out of your comfort zone.
Who teaches each module/semster?
Rivka Malka teaches both the pre-recorded lessons and the live Zoom classes. Rachel Wormeli joins every Zoom class and assists in the planning, teaching, and technical aspects of the class. Although this rarely happens, if Rivka Malka can not attend, Rachel will often be the substitute teacher.
What are the requirements for the CTLC (Certified Transformation Life Coach) certification?
Many of our students come for personal development or to add a skill set to their already established careers. This is wonderful and you will be able to apply your gifts in an infinite amount of situations. However, for those that are seeking certification, these are the requirements: Attendance at both coaching modules (Foundations 1 and Foundations 2). Coaching for a minimum of 60 hours All coaching sessions must be entered into the “Coaching Accountability Form” Completion of a written exam Recorded coaching session (minimum 30 minutes) that is sent in and graded by the Coaching School staff
Who will I be certified to coach with your CTLC (Certified Transformation Life Coach) Certification?
The Coaching School meets the requirements to certify you to coach all over the world servicing all populations. With this certification you will be able to coach on a personal or corporate level.
Can I transfer my payment from one round of Coaching School to another?
When necessary, one may transfer their course payment from one course to another without penalty up to 7 days before the purchased course begins. Any request made within 7 days of the purchased course beginning will incur a $150 transfer fee. In emergency cases that come up during the course, please contact us to request a transfer to a different round of Coaching School. Requests to transfer must be done in writing via email to theredemptionschool@gmail.com.
What happens after I sign up for The Coaching School?
You will receive a welcome email that contains all the information you need to know to be part of the school. The email also includes links to the school WhatsApp group, a short questionnaire and a form with the school confidentiality agreement and other agreements. You will also have access to the first 3 introductory classes and the first lesson of the first module (Foundations 1). Those classes should be watched before the first live online Zoom class.
What is your refund policy?
Course registration may be canceled up to 7 days before the course begins for a full refund. If the course registration is canceled within 7 days before the course begins until and including the first 7 days of the course, the full amount paid besides $250.00 will be refunded. Beginning from 8 days into the course and on, there are no more refunds and the total amount for the course will need to be paid. If you are registered for the entire course but choose not to come, you will continue to be charged for tuition. All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email and must be sent to theredemptionschool@gmail.com. Refunds will be made within 30 days from the date the cancellation request email is received. We understand that there is a great deal of unknown when starting something new. We encourage you to do your research before enrolling – and ask any questions you may have. We can also set you up with past students as references. Should a true life emergency arise we will save your spot for the next semester of The Coaching School and apply your payments there.
Does The Coaching School have a confidentiality agreement and other agreements that the students need to sign?
Yes. It is very important that the students feel safe to share and know that their information will remain private. It is also important for the school to be a safe and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Students agree to have appropriate conduct which is in line with the values of the school. There are a few other items in the agreement. We created a Google Form with all the agreements. It is as simple as just putting your basic information in, clicking “I agree” and submitting it.
What coaching counts as part of my coaching hours?
For the CTLC Certification, any coaching you do that is real coaching is counted as part of your 60 hours. Real coaching means that it is not just a regular conversation, it is a coaching session using the coaching tools. If you are doing real coaching in the breakout rooms during the Tuesday night live Zoom calls, you can keep track of that time and use it towards your 60 hours. If you coach someone in a public setting (let’s say in front of the class) during the Zoom call, you can count that as part of your 60 hours. If we were to become an ICF accredited program, your coaching hours would have to be mostly paid coaching hours which of course doesn’t happen in Zoom breakout rooms on Tuesday afternoons or nights. The pro bono coaching hours that you do would also have to be completed out of school hours. The ICF also requires a different amount of coaching hours for their certification. Please refer to their website for more information about that https://coachingfederation.org/
Will I learn about the business and marketing aspects of a real coaching practice so that I can feel confident in starting my own coaching career right away?
Yes, we will prepare you to open up your own practice right away. In addition to supporting you in finding practice clients during the 6-month training, we also have an in-depth workshop that will prime you with business and marketing know-how for you to take into the real world.
Do I have to do the Homework?
All homework, whether you are in the certification track or the self-development track is optional. Homework is our suggestion of how you can deepen your knowledge and growth. To get the most out of the training, it is in your best interest to do all the homework.
When I am in a Zoom class, does my video have to be turned on?
During the Zoom classes, everyone attending must have their video turned on. If there is an emergency which makes it that you can not have your video turned on, we require that you please let the school know by either private messaging Rachel Wormeli on Zoom itself or by emailing the school @ theredemptionschool@gmail.com.
Are my payments tax deductible?
We can not give any concrete answer about taxes. You must consult with your accountant or tax advisor. However, there is a good chance that it is tax deductible based on Treas. Reg. 1-162-5 which states that all expenses of continuing education undertaken to maintain and improve business and professional skills are tax deductible.
How can I just dive into practice coaching if I didn't get fully trained yet?
The coaching that you jump into goes in stages. The first month, you only practice with other students in your class. The second month, you can move on to practicing with your family and close friends also. However, you must be very clear with anyone you are coaching that you are a student and you are just practicing. This lasts until the end of the first module – Foundations 1. Beginning with Foundations 2, we can cautiously begin coaching people outside of your classmates, family, and close friends. By cautiously we mean that before coaching people on the outside, each student must speak with Rivka Malka and assess if they are ready to be coaching the general population. To address the concern or fear about jumping into coaching, yes, it is scary to just jump in. However, it will certainly be the place where you get the most learning. A few points: If you joined the course, it means you are already compassionate and care deeply about people. It means you probably listen well. That is already enough to have a wonderful session. Whoever you are working with, if you are still a student, let them know you are just starting out and that you are practicing. Thank them for letting you practice with them. Also, the coaching you will be doing will be concentrating on using the specific tools that you did learn already from the video and live Zoom call. It’s specific to those tools and it is meant to integrate them into your coaching. Maybe the most important thing to keep in mind is that you are perfect, wonderful, and whole the way you are. Don’t be tough and judgmental of yourself. You’re learning something new and there is no judgment on how you do and what you do in the coaching sessions. There is just celebration for being strong and putting yourself out there and some deepening of your learning from comments you get about your coaching.
